Kinguin have been crowned champions of ESL Clash of Nations after defeating Endpoint 2-0 (16-7 on Mirage, 16-13 on Cache).

Both teams enjoyed flawless runs in the Swiss stage and followed that up with convincing 2-0 wins in the semi-finals, with Kinguin beating Movistar Riders, while Endpoint breezed past PANTHERS.

The grand final began on Endpoint's map pick, Mirage, but it was Kinguin who took control of proceedings right from the start. Following a successful Counter-Terrorist pistol, the Polish side lost the first gun round, but they would quickly respond with a five-round streak.

Robin "⁠robiin⁠" Sjögren and co. then picked up the pace, winning three more rounds before the end of the half, and they kept themselves in the game by winning the second pistol round. However, Kinguin regained control of the game after buying up, losing just one more round before taking the map at 16-7.

Kinguin did not lose a single map in Madrid

Cache began with Endpoint securing the T-side pistol thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield, with the British team following that up with both anti-ecos. Kinguin struggled to contain a rampant Endpoint side as the Terrorists cruised to an 8-2 lead, but a late resurgence saw the Poles bring the deficit to a minimum by the end of the half.

Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller's team then carried their momentum into the second pistol, overcoming the deficit, and they added to their lead thanks to a 1v3 post-plant clutch from the 20-year-old in the first gun round. Kinguin quickly reached match point, and even though Endpoint still got a couple of rounds on the board, the Poles kept their composure and closed out the map, 16-13.
